What this site keeps.

No cookies, no accounts, no tracking

This page sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. There is no analytics, no pixel, no fingerprinting, no advertising and no third-party script of any kind: everything you see here is served from lucy.fyi itself. Nothing is shared with or sold to anybody, because there is nothing to share.

There is no account to make. The sign-in elsewhere on this domain belongs to one person and is not open to anyone else.

The chat bar

The bar under her portrait is a preview of LUCY. Typing into it and sending is the only thing on this site that leaves your browser on purpose, and this is what happens to it:

• Your message is sent to Google — specifically to the Gemini API, which is the model that writes the answer. It is sent under a key belonging to this site, without your address and without anything identifying you. What Google does with it is governed by their own terms; they are the one third party involved in this site at all.
• It is not stored here. Neither your message nor her answer is written to a disk, a database or a log file. When the answer has been sent back to your browser, this site no longer has either of them.
• There is no history. Each message stands alone. She does not remember the one before it, she cannot remember you, and reloading the page leaves nothing behind.
• She cannot reach anything. The preview has no tools, no files, no memory, no calendar and no access to the private half of LUCY. It cannot do anything in the world — it can only answer.

Please do not type anything sensitive into it. Not because of what this site does with it, but because it is a preview on a public page, and a message that has left your browser has left it.

What the server sees

Like every web server, this one sees the requests made to it. The access log of the site and of the proxy in front of it records the address a request came from, the page or address asked for, the time and the status. That is ordinary server operation, it is what makes it possible to notice an attack, and those logs are rotated and not used for anything else.

For the chat bar there is one more count. So that nobody can empty a day's budget in a minute, the site keeps how many messages have been sent recently — per visitor and in total. A visitor is stored as a one-way hash of their address with a random value, never as the address itself, and the entry disappears after a day. The file holds counts and nothing else: no messages, no answers, and nothing that can be turned back into an address.

Where it runs

The site runs on a rented Linux server in Europe and is reached through Cloudflare, which passes requests along and keeps its own logs. The only other party involved is Google, and only for the chat bar, as described above.

Your rights, and asking about them

There is no account to delete and no profile to hand over: this site holds nothing tied to you that could be looked up. If you would like to know more, or want something removed from a log, write to [email protected] and it will be dealt with.
